Barb Ling here from the Dennis and Barb Partnership and when last we spoke, I had mentioned...

And from there, I eventually moved to Bell Labs, met my future husband, got married 4 years later, and then leapt into that new chapter of my life, motherhood. The one that my mom had basically brainwashed me about - must! have! 2! or! 4! kids!  I figured, I'm' going to LOVE this phase (and heck, I became the West's answer to the Tiger Mother - I was the MamaBear
Mother).
Me being me, of COURSE I forgot the main point where my problems became less... and here they are.
Back in Bell Labs, my sublevel of confidence of non-existence generally was hidden (I was very good at masking)... unless I was asked to speak directly to an audience.
It became known that IF you wanted your presentation to be torpedoed, talk to Barb! :)
After I left Bell Labs (golden parachute, yay, enough to start Lingstar), I soon became known as THE person who could find ANYTHING on the Internet:
And then *something* happened, a few years later, that made me 140% comfortable talking to ANY crowd of ANY size at ANY time.
