Howdy!

Barb Ling from the DAB Coaching group and I have quite the question for you....

Didja *ever* wonder just HOW my business partner does so well, given he's NOT an extrovert?

Well!  Let's listen to the dear man, aye?

And here we goooooooooooooooooooooo!  But first:

The following story is entirely fictional.  Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.  Totally coincidental.   So coincidental the coincidences are coincidental.

Did I mention coincidental?  Alrighty then....

It was a dark and stormy night.  Thunder rumbled.  Yet somewhere millions of miles in the galaxy...

The journalistic interviewing camera, far in the future, perched on a DOT that rocketed from within the deep Universe straight down like The Avengers with a single track mind...

... and came to an extremely unique house.  How is it unique?  Why, Dennis lives there, of course!

The DOT (along with the Interviewing Camera) continued moseying along the hallway until it crossed over an invisible hair-thin red laser beam (that was still operational from back during his James Bond days, mind you; Sean Connery was one of his best students, did you know that?  Anywhos, Dennis has been postponing the removal of all 4,887 spy gadgets from his home but hey.   At least its SuperSecure!), after which:

He idly flicked a switch on his analog watch which changed the gravity in the DOT-and-camera-laden area to about, oh, 31.416x the amount elsewhere on earth, resulting in the DOT and Interviewing camera doing its best to create a cute little well in the floor so it could comfortably rest.

And with the DOT thus fully neutralized, Dennis asked it:   

"Is there any reason just WHY all of your DOTs are visiting me today?"

And the DOT responded,

"OMG (with a high pitch on the 'G'), didn't you know? You've rocked the digital marketing universe so far far far into the future, Commander Spock realized that the answer to saving the Fate of the Universe could be found within this particular digital product release of yours!  But I must request:  pls keep it down to a few sentences at most.  Funding, you know!"

As Dennis had already learned to accept *anything* bizarre due to his partnership with the extremely shy and quiet Barb Ling, these Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations time traveling shenanigans made perfect sense.   So he began the inspirational interview one.... more.... time!

💥 Let's listen in as Dennis began to speak. 💥

"...I've been creating info products since 2006. I started with my first eBook, 5 Bucks a Day, then.  2006... It was a time of ancient gods, warlords and kings. A land in turmoil cried out for a hero. She was Xena, a mighty princess forged in the heat of battle. The power, the passion, the danger. Her courage will change the world.

Sorry, wrong series.  Anywhos, in all seriousness, I had my back to the walls - credit cards were maxxed out, income was sparse and best of all, nobody was coming to help.   I had to be my own hero, so to say.  And..."

The DOT interrupted Dennis. 
 

"Why would say that was "Best of all?"   Wouldn't that really have been, worst of all, because you were alone with nobody except you to count upon?"

With a twinkle in his eye, Dennis answered the eager DOT's question. 

"Most people would think that, aye?  But here's the thing.  I was forced to reach deep inside me and discover strength in places I never even knew existed.  And returning to the story, in hindsight, I now remember that I had started even earlier.  Wow.  Time sure does fly when you're having fun!

Seems like I had researched for several months, and probably spent over $3000 outsourcing for articles to be written, compiled it into a book, and sold a few copies. Very few.  Extremely few.   Massively few.  Fewer than those fews.

But when I finally *did* manage to get the time-laborious tasks down pat, I discovered that:

5 Bucks a Day took me 2 weeks to write, no outsourcing, and sold thousands of copies.

THOUSANDS of copies!

Go figure.

But you know now, Mr. DOT, today...
